About

I am a DJCAD Product Design graduate taking my first steps as a designer. I am currently overseeing the building of the Good Grief Garden, which was chosen to become the first Covid-19 memorial garden in Scotland. My passion lies in design that becomes part of stories with meaningful concepts at their core. I thrive when working individually or as part of a team, jointly developing concepts for which there is a shared passion.
My process begins with research and interviews building interpersonal connections through empathy and learning from users and experts. I “collage” together information until I can see a fuller picture in order to understand the design requirements, working through clues that simultaneously provide an answer and a question, keeping me engaged and motivated. I enjoy iterative design through model making and sketching, both physically and digitally; skills which I developed during my undergraduate study. The ethos for this was thinking through making. Having always had an interest in the built environment I endeavour to create designs for people to connect with and build their stories around.
